Membership and Marketing Committee

Chair: Andy Ortiz
Purpose: To support and retain existing NYP members and expand the NYP membership through innovative marketing and outreach.
 
Activities:
•  Implement event promotion strategies such as eBlasts, advertising and news releases.
•  Develop promotions for special events.
•  Develop and update content for NYP website.
•  Brainstorm and develop unique ideas for marketing NYP and recruiting new members.

 
Events Committee


Chair: Leslie Sweasy
Purpose: To organize events that provide opportunities for young professionals to network and build relationships with others and build their personal and professional skills.
 
Activities:
•  Plan educational topics and speakers for Lunch-N-Learns, fun networking opportunities for NET events, and other special events.
•  Brainstorm ideas for new events that will keep current members engaged and pique the interest of potential new members.
•  Plan fundraising events to support NYP’s future operations and ongoing marketing efforts.
•  Organize special activities such as participation in community events to gain exposure and become more involved in the community.

 
Community Service Committee


Chair: Lindsey Frasier
Purpose: To personally and professionally engage Newton’s young professionals in a service-leadership network for the benefit of the whole community.
 
Activities:
•  Identify volunteer leadership opportunities in the community and provide a resource and network for communicating related community needs to young professionals.
•  Identify community needs and develop plans for specific short-term community service activities.
•  Develop mentoring opportunities for future young professionals and for connecting youth and college students to the community.
•  Brainstorm and develop unique ideas for making the world a better place.
